Residential
Chamberlayne Road
Contract value £230 000
Completed 2007
This new build contemporary house was sunk to address lighting restrictions from adjoining properties. The lowered site prompted a split level design and also the idea of combining a flat roof to the street with a raised mono-pitch to the rear, giving an articulated sculptural feel to the massing.
A large skylight was placed above the kitchen at the very rear of the building to flood the area with natural light. The first floor plan consists of two bedrooms with a bathroom and an en-suite wetroom. The outdoor space incorporates a sunken landscape garden.
