The project consisted of an internal fit out to an old leather warehouse in Bermondsey. The client’s brief was to convert this into a three bedroom family space whilst retaining the character of the empty shell they had inherited.
Problems were overcome by putting in a mezzanine floor within the roof space, retaining as much of the original structure by using flitch beams to strengthen the existing roof trusses to support the additional load.
