The White Palace
The enlargement of this property was undertaken with a simple brief, that the new works should blend seamlessly into the original house; a mid-century detached property in the West Dulwich.
Given the house was originally built with an integral garage, building out over the garage roof was the most pragmatic solution. Our modest addition to the house however was able to increase the size of two small bedrooms, add two new bathrooms and improve the master bedroom suite as well as improving the vertical circulation.
In conjunction with the new works, we took the opportunity to improve the existing fabric of the house, with new windows, doors and roof coverings being installed, and much need repairs being undertaken throughout.
The interiors, designed in conjunction with the client, offer a clean and contemporary aesthetic. White walls and floors are broken up with warm tactile surfaces and furnishings, whilst the bathrooms, with bold floor to ceiling porcelain tiles and polished plaster surfaces, offer luxurious spa like experiences.
